The makers mark (the Napoleonic Bee) is engraved on the underside of frame and the case is also lucky enough to have an embossed Bee on the push button closure on the front of the leather case. A truly exquisite pair of Opera Glasses by the top-notch maker, LeMaire of Paris, signed on both eye pieces with the two engraved tiny bee motifs, used by LeMaire. A very fine pair of late nineteenth century opera glasses made from Mother of Pearl and the original gilded brass made by the creme de la creme of makers, LeMaire of Paris.
